Experience
Prior to training as a Music Therapist, Anna taught and worked in a wide range of settings and roles since 2012.
As a Special Educational Needs music practitioner for Newham Music Service and Drake Music she delivered 1:1 and group music sessions across the lifespan; from Early Years to adults in supporting living.
Her work for Drake Music also included teacher training and mentoring for peripatetic music teachers new to working with children with learning disabilities.
Anna also worked as violin teacher delivering individual, whole class and small group instrumental lessons for Hackney and Haringey Music Services.
She qualified as a music therapist from the University of Limerick with First Class Honours. Her clinical placements included children’s palliative care as well as a year on placement in a Chronic Pain clinic.
She is also a sought after teacher on specialist Klezmer and traditional music courses and has taught nationally and internationally including at:

Access to music is central to Anna’s values as a teacher.
She is committed to addressing barriers to music through an inclusive and flexible pedagogy and practice.
Method
Through the use of Kodaly techniques, Anna has developed a holistic and inclusive approach to music education with general musicianship and aural skills at its core.
Within her Music Therapy practise, Anna’s humanistic approach centres the person whilst remaining sensitive and conscious of cultural context and environmental factors that may form part of the story.
Anna is also available for private lessons, from beginner to advanced violin, general musicianship and Klezmer fidl style.
